Mt. Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc pushes the boundaries of the typical New Zealand flavor profile. By highlighting floral aromatics and tropical flavors such as guava and melon-like fruit, they tone down the grassiness and bring a creamy mid-palate all the way through to a fresh and bright crispness on the finish. Mt. Beautiful has set a new precedent for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Côté Est, as the name suggests, comes from vineyards planted on the gentle slopes facing the Mediterranean just a few kilometers inland from the sea. Benefiting from the thermal breezes that refresh these vineyards every afternoon in the summer – which preserves a high level of natural acidity in the grapes – this is a lively blend of Grenache Blanc with smaller percentages of Chardonnay and Roussanne. Floral and aromatic, it is an excellent example of the open and friendly whites you can find all along the Catalan coast from Perpignan to the Penedès.
Beautiful yellow dress with green highlights. The nose is intense, the mouth is full of freshness and tense, it presents a nice balance in the mouth, between acidity and volume. It continues on a long finish with lemon-citrus notes.
Fresh, zesty, juicy and rich. It displays complex aromas of ruby red grapefruit, passionfruit, white peach, and a welcome lemon basalm/thyme note. The ripeness of the vintage is noticeable on the powerful palate where tropical fruits emerge and a cutting herbaceous drive. It is balanced, intense and a sublime drink.
Clean crisp flavors and feel the verticality even on the nose. Love the mouth watering aspect here, this is high acidity, but for me it is well matched by minerality and clean bracing citrus and honeydew. Lovely, with good structure.
The color is a luminous straw yellow. The bouquet is rich with aromas of tropical fruit such as banana and papaya. On the palate the wine is intense and well balanced, with a crisp acidity and excellent persistence.
Coming from 100% Chardonnay that was aged on Viognier lees, the 2017 Vin de France Novellum boasts sensational notes of ripe citrus, white flowers, and spice, with loads of classic Catalanes salinity and obvious minerality. Aged in 15% new barrels, it’s medium-bodied, has remarkable purity, integrated acidity, and is a total steal at the price. 92pts JD
Our 2017 Morning Fog Chardonnay is a beautiful expression of the Livermore Valley with aromatics from creamy lemon curd, graham and a touch of floral and vanilla. This wine is medium-bodied with a nice acidity.
The 2016 Annabella Napa Valley Chardonnay shimmers golden in the glass, volunteering enticing aromas of red pear, mandarin oranges, a light crème brûlée, and a diaphanous vanilla spiciness. In the mouth, the wine shows flavors of golden delicious apple, subtle white flowers, and a light candied lemon peel. The light oak influence is well integrated into the wine’s delicate structure, melding well into a round, soft palate with a bright, youthful acidity.
Aromatically spot on — bright and fresh with lifted fruit, lightly spicy citrus and dried herbs and, of course, the classic ranga wet stone minerality and just a whiff of smoky flintlock. Though bone dry, the attack is succulent and mouth-watering. Full of juicy sweet limes, the attack leads to a mid-palate that is beautifully balanced and weighted, with a touch of sweet mown grass and the trademark briny jalapeño flavor. The finish is defiantly rich and super long and pulls all the characters within the wine through.
